CHIRP Transducers

CHIRP transducers contain ceramic elements that act as the transmitters and receivers for sonar pulses. A simple transducer may have only one element. Dual-band transducers will have one element for their low frequency band and one or more elements for their medium or high bands. The greater the number of elements used, the higher the performance.

Airmar CHIRP transducers are designed for easy upgrades from conventional models. The TM275, for example, is the same size as the TM260 and uses the same tramsom-mount bracket. The B275 is the same size as the B260 and an installer can re-use the pre-cut B260 fairing.
